The judge of the National Court José Luis Calama has extended the investigation into espionage with Pegasus to the cases of the Ministers of the Interior and Agriculture, Fernando Grande-Marlaska and Luis Planas.
The investigating magistrate has admitted an extension of the complaint presented by the State Attorney. The extension letter reported that the two mobile phones suffered the infection in June 2021, according to the two reports prepared by the National Cryptologic Center, dependent on the CNI.
The judge agreed on May 3 to open an investigation into the cell phone infections of the Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, and the Defense Minister, Margarita Robles. The facts supported by the corresponding reports of the National Cryptologic Center could suppose crimes of discovery and revelation of secrets.
As it did with Sánchez and Robles, the court is going to offer Grande-Marlaska and Planas the possibility of appearing in person in a case that, at the request of the Prosecutor’s Office, has been declared secret.
