Despite some showers expected for Berlin and Brandenburg on Wednesday and Thursday, the drought and risk of forest fires remain.
As a spokeswoman for the German Weather Service said, temperatures of almost 30 degrees are possible on Wednesday. Due to the persistent wind, an increased heat and thus circulatory load is rather unlikely. During the course of Wednesday morning some showers are to be expected.
Some rain is also possible on Thursday night with low temperatures of 12 degrees. However, the amounts of water are far too small to compensate for the recent drought.
For Thursday, people in Berlin and Brandenburg can expect changeable weather with a maximum of 24 degrees. The persistent wind allows the fallen rain to evaporate more quickly and thus exacerbates the drought.
The precipitation this week is probably the last rain, the spokeswoman continued. A high pressure area will prevail in the next few days and weeks.
