After three years spent in Vail, Colorado, where he led the mogul team of the local Ski and Snowboard Center, Philippe Marquis returns to his lands. The former Quebec City athlete accepted a coaching position with the Canadian moguls team, a return to his “professional and family” roots that was needed.
The three-year exile was a rewarding experience for the former hard worker-turned-coach, but Marquis admits time away from his family got the better of his American adventure. “I thought I could come back on a relatively regular basis, but with the pandemic and my full-time role in Colorado, I haven’t had the chance to come back very often,” he explained less than 24 hours after returning to the capital.
