Jean-Luc Mélenchon, who stressed on Sunday that he was preparing “rather for the idea of ​​being Prime Minister than for the idea of ​​being a new deputy”, will be present Thursday evening at an “aperitif” of the People’s Union in Marseilles.

In total, within Nupes, the new left-wing alliance bringing together LFI, EELV, PS and PCF for the June legislative elections, LFI will have 360 ​​constituencies. The rest of the names should be revealed in the coming days.

Among the newcomers, many figures from LFI, such as the general secretary of the movement Clémence Guétté (2nd from Val-de-Marne), the election coordinator Paul Vannier (5th from Val-d’Oise), the lawyer Raquel Garido (5th from Seine-Saint-Denis), the councilor of Paris Danielle Simonnet (15th from Paris), the regional councilor of Île-de-France Sophia Chikirou (6th from Paris), the national secretary of the Left Party Sarah Legrain ( 16th in Paris), the digital manager of Jean-Luc Mélenchon Antoine Leaument (10th in Essonne).

Like LFI, the PS unveiled a first list of candidates for the June ballot on Tuesday evening. The first wave thus has 56 candidates invested within the framework of the New Popular Ecological and Social Union (Nupes). In total, as part of the new left-wing alliance bringing together LFI, EELV, PS and PCF for the legislative elections, the PS will have 70 candidates invested.

In the first wave of names unveiled, is notably the first secretary of the PS Olivier Faure in the 11th district of Seine-et-Marne, and the patron saint of deputies Valérie Rabault in the 1st district of Tarn-et-Garonne.

Among the new investors are in particular the negotiator of the agreement with LFI Pierre Jouvet (4th from Drôme), Laurent Baumel (4th from Indre-et-Loire), the former deputy Jérôme Guedj (6th from Essonne) , or the deputy mayor of Paris Olga Polski (11th in Paris).
