In the race for Borussia Dortmund’s superstar Erling Haaland, FC Bayern apparently played a much larger role than previously assumed. This is revealed by a media report. Robert Lewandowski will not like that.

Long wait for Haaland: Bayern Munich tried for months to cook the delicate issue of Erling Haaland on a low flame. The “Bild” writes that a possible change to the master was much hotter than arrived. According to the newspaper, Munich had hoped to sign the 21-year-old Norwegian until last weekend.

Meeting with players: only then should the Haaland side have canceled FC Bayern. The young star is moving to Manchester City for the new season, which has actually been apparent for months. The exchange between the Munich team and Haaland’s team was also much more intensive than previously assumed. There is said to have been an hour-long conversation between Haaland and Bavaria’s sports director Hasan Salihamidzic at the beginning of March.

How does Lewandowski react? One person will not like these new findings at all: Robert Lewandowski (33). Bayern want to extend the Pole’s contract, which expires in 2023, but the world footballer was already upset because the club was in no hurry to negotiate. The reason should now be clear: the (vain) hope for Haaland!
